The Albert Mooneys
We are starting the Albert Mooneys Story in the year . Lady Antonia Mooney invites her brothers to a little shed. She picks up her accordion and she asks them to pick up another instrument to make some music. They start to teach themselves how to play various acoustic instruments as the Banjo, Ukelele, Double Bass, Guitar, Cajon Box, Mandoline and all kinds of percussion. They also sing together and because they are family this sounds wonderful.
During their sessions in this shed they discover a hidden Time Traveling Machine that was somewhere in the corner under a blanket. This Machine was created by their Uncle Albert Mooney. Obviously, they could not resist to try this out and within a couple of twist and turns they arrived in the year . They met a guy called Eddie Cochrane and they started playing music with him. Eddie was kind of stuck with his song Let's get together. He asked the Mooneys for some help and this resulted in the song C'mon Everybody that he recorded. And as you might know: Rock n' Roll was born. To be fair to Eddie, the Mooneys wrote it as a folk tune, but Eddie speeded it up a bit. But the original can be heard in the Albert Mooneys version.
The Mooneys liked this idea and they decided to travel through time and help other musicians who needed assistance with their creations of new songs. So they co-wrote songs for the likes of Cliff Richard, Status Quo, Talking Heads, Iron Maiden, Neil Diamond, Queens of the Stone Age. All of these artists had huge hits with these pieces of music, but still they gave a bit of their own twist. But without the help of the Mooneys, these musical creations would not have existed. When going to see the Albert Mooneys you will be able to hear these hits, but in the way they were originally written. Sometimes you will only recognize the lyrics and even sometimes you can hear that the Mooneys gave the music to one artist and the lyrics to a different artist and you will recognize two well known songs in one original Mooney tune.
This Time Traveling Machine has no end. This means that the Mooneys have also been to the years that are still ahead of you whenever you read this story. For instance, they wrote songs that will be huge hits in , , and in the year . This is a unique chance to already hear some songs that will be big in the future.
